GUIDED BIKE TRIP along Vltava river from Prague to Karlstejn Castle (Apr - Oct)

Bike ride to 650 year old Karlstejn Gothic Castle,  through picturesque czech countryside.

Our bike trip begins from our office in the center of Prague. We choose our bikes according to sizes and ride to one of Czech's most visited castles, built by King Charles IV between 1348 and 1355. 

We follow the bike paths along the Berounka and Vltava rivers. As we reach Karlstejn village we leave our bikes down and walk up to the castle grounds. Your guide will show you around the courtyard and castle exterior and  tell you all about the history of the castle as well as the life of Charles IV. We do not cover the castle interior (small part to be missed) and focus on the bike ride and exploring other interesting places along the way. 

We’ll enjoy approximately a 3-4 hour easy bike ride along flat terrain with regular stops and a lunch break in a traditional Czech restaurant. We come back to Prague by train and the trip ends at the bike shop in the centre of Prague. Throughout the whole trip our friendly experienced tour guide will accompany you.

• Duration: about 8 hours

• Difficulty level: easy/medium ( 35km/22miles) with no hills

• Price is indicated for group of min 4 participants

MEETING & FINISH POINT: Tour begin and ends at Dlouha Street 24, Prague 1. Dlouha Street is located in the city center, close to the Old Town Square.

SELF-GUIDED BIKE TRIP along Vltava river from Karlstejn Castle to Prague (April to October)

Bike ride to 650 year old Karlstejn Gothic Castle,  through picturesque countryside. We recommend starting a self-guided tour from our bike office in Prague and come back to Prague by train or vice versa. 

We choose the appropriate bike for you, give you a map and instructions for a self-guided tour. After you can travel by bike from Prague to Karlstejn (or take a train to Karlstejn Castle and come back by bike back to Prague).
On the way, you will visit small towns, cycle along the river, visit Karlstejn Castle, one of Czech's most visited castles which was built by King Charles IV between 1348 and 1355.

You’ll enjoy approximately a 3-4 hour easy bike ride along flat roads with regular stops and a lunch break along the way.

 Self-guided tour available every day, except Mon when the castle is closed. In July and August the castle is open every day.
